LDHC V Terminal Coupling Assembly VIC coupling

The LDHC V Terminal Coupling Assembly consists of three core components: LDHC tripartite clamps, LDHC V nipples, and Victaulic clamps.
I. Construction

The LDHC V terminal coupling assembly comprises three integrated components forming a complete quick-connect system:

1. LDHC V Nipple: Features a V-shaped Victaulic groove that allows for seamless interconnection with other grooved nipples. The groove geometry is precision-engineered to ensure connection strength and enable rapid assembly.

2. LDHC Tripartite Clamp: The core fastening component of the LDHC connection system. Its three-piece structure delivers 360° uniform compression, effectively eliminating the common "pinch points" found in conventional hose clamps that cause premature hose failure at the neck.

3. Victaulic Clamp: A grooved mechanical coupling that encircles two pipe ends. The clamp housing engages pre-cut or roll-formed grooves on each nipple, locking them together. When bolts are tightened, the housing keys seat firmly into the grooves, drawing the pressure-responsive EPDM gasket against the nipple OD to create a positive seal.
II. Materials
Component Material Finish/Process
LDHC V Nipple Forged Aluminum Alloy Anodized
LDHC Tripartite Clamp Forged Aluminum Alloy Anodized
Victaulic Clamp Forged Iron / Ductile Iron Anti-corrosion coating
Forged Aluminum Components: Manufactured from high-strength forged aluminum alloy. The anodizing process creates a dense oxide layer on the surface, significantly enhancing wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and UV aging resistance while maintaining lightweight properties.
Forged Iron Clamp: Manufactured from ductile iron (SG Iron), offering high strength, impact resistance, and deformation resistance. The anti-corrosion coating ensures long-term service in harsh industrial environments.
Sealing Element: Equipped with a pressure-responsive EPDM gasket that conforms tightly to the nipple OD when installed, ensuring a leak-free connection.

III. Applications
The LDHC V Terminal Coupling Assembly is specifically designed for high-performance layflat hose systems across the following industries:
Hydraulic Fracturing: Transporting frac water in shale oil and gas extraction, capable of withstanding extreme tensile stress under high-flow, high-pressure conditions.
Mining Dewatering: Pit drainage and dewatering operations with excellent resistance to abrasion, oil contamination, and chemical corrosion.
Agriculture & Irrigation: Large-scale farm drag hose systems for fertilizer application and long-distance irrigation, lightweight and easy to operate.
Industrial Fluid Transfer: Suitable for water, slurry, chemical, and other media transfer across various industrial scenarios.
Compatible Hose Types:
Nitrile Rubber Hoses (NBR): Excellent oil resistance and abrasion resistance, ideal for oily media and harsh conditions.
Polyurethane Hoses (TPU): Superior abrasion resistance, flexibility, and aging resistance, suitable for a wide range of fluid transfer applications.
IV. Installation
1. Installation Procedure:
Insert the LDHC V nipple into the hose end, ensuring full insertion.
Position the LDHC tripartite clamp over the hose outer wall, aligning it with the nipple's groove.
Tighten the clamp bolts using standard hardware tools (e.g., wrench) to fully seat the clamp keys into the groove.
Connect two grooved nipples using the Victaulic clamp, torquing the bolts to the specified value.
Inspect the connection for sealing integrity and ensure no leakage.
2. Installation Advantages:
No Welding / No Flanging: The grooved mechanical connection eliminates the need for welding or flanging, dramatically simplifying the installation process.
Reattachable / Reusable: Both the tripartite clamp and nipple can be disassembled and reused multiple times, facilitating hose repair and extension.
Quick Connect / Disconnect: The Victaulic clamp with groove design enables rapid connection and disconnection—ideal for operations requiring frequent assembly and disassembly.

Simple Tools: Installation requires only basic hardware tools; no specialized equipment needed.
Secure & Reliable: The LDHC V nipple features an internal expansion ferrule design—the higher the pressure, the tighter the grip on the hose, effectively preventing hose blow-off under high-pressure conditions.
